Ashes for the Mute was formed in 2017 by Jacob St. Amand as a one-man Doom Metal project from Athens, GA. After moving the project to Denver, CO in 2018, the demo 'The Pantheist' was released, marking a shift towards a more blackened sound. Shortly after the 2018 release, St. Amand found other musicians that shared his vision. The band proceeded to compose, record, and complete their first full-length album during a worldwide pandemic. 'Celestial Revelations' is an intriguing blend of Black and Death Metal. Paying homage to both genres but remaining confined to none.
Formed in 2020, during the early days of the plague, Cyffrous Indignus was created from the blood of a dying world. Inspired by ubiquitous decay, corruption, injustice, malice, and ruinous visions of a world-ending in collapse and chaos, Cyffous Indignus’ music is a cathartic release, retribution upon the weakness and wickedness of man. Theatre of Cruelty, Cyffrous Indignus’ first release, showcases the band at its highest intensity. Written over the course of the summer, each track brought out elements from every corner of extreme music.
With a release under their belt, Cyffrous now turns their bloody vision towards the future, refining and ever darkening their sound, carefully crafting a full length more dark and depraved than anything hitherto released. Stewards of a dark ritual, they expose the beast in man and in machine, revealing the nightmare of life for what it truly is and finding new meaning through musical expression. Cyffrous Indignus is a broken window, rust filled wounds, suffocating smog, industrial decay, a monumental offering to the black maelstrom of modernity.
Discordant Meditation was formed in 2022 by a random encounter on the internet. Despite the geographic distance between the two musicians, their creation proves they are meant to work together. Both possess the style and specialty that is necessary for this project’s sound. In the realm of death metal, there is something to be said about the process of conceiving art. At the right time, it will reveal itself, channeling its energy through the mind and body. The form materializes into an expression, fulfilling its purpose to convey the energy from which it was derived. Our path to creation is met with psychological dysfunction, psychedelic substances, and existential questions. As time goes on, we experience varying states of conscience, emotion, and existence. They coalesce to form our individual paths to creation. Together we stray from the light of the sun, observing the beauty of death.
Metagnomist is a black metal duo formed in the Winter of 2012 by Rick Blundo (guitar/vocals) and Alex Greco (drums/bass). Originally from New Rochelle, NY, their calling was to craft long-form songs that fused psychedelic and dissonant death metal with memorable passages of progressive black metal. They strived to create an organic sound that embraces the imperfections of DIY recording while emphasizing the importance of songwriting. After several years of writing and recording, Blundo moved to Denver, CO and the material was put on hold until 2021, where they would enlist the help of Donovan Parran (Ashes For The Mute, Swelling Repulsion) with the mixing of their original recordings. After many years of envisioning and preserving their recorded material, they would finally release their debut full-length offering in Winter of 2021, Divorced From Humanity. Divorced From Humanity encompasses 5 vivid movements that captivate the listener with sonic illustrations of occult misgivings, the venomous nature of man, and the psychedelic ruin to plague our furtive existence.
Existing in the liminal space between malice and mourning, Necrosophik Abyss represents North America’s return to the core, sonic language of black metal. Brought together during the vernal equinox of 2019, and finishing their first recording, MMXX: FALXIFER, during the peak of the 2020 pandemic, the six members of Necrosophik Abyss are no strangers to tension and discomfort. The result: a swirling, orchestral approach to black metal intended to be both unexpected and familiar—a respite for lonely, troubled souls, content to trample the dead leaves of the forest floor, searching for answers they’ll never find.
With plans to return to the studio to record a punishing, full length album—released by Reaping Scythe Records—and finally bring their live performance to post-pandemic concert goers, Necrosophik Abyss is only just getting started.
NightWraith is a melodic death metal band from Denver, CO that explores the genre with an eclectic and intuitive approach. Formed in 2016, Nightwraith's music encompasses poignant themes, seeking the sublime in nature, being genuine in a deceptive world, and living with the idea of death - concepts that unite us all as people. Using haunting melodies and triumphant anthems, NightWraith offers listeners a sonic pilgrimage into the heart of humanity. 2020, a year filled with anxiety and isolation, the band would finally have the time and freedom to create the next chapter of their story. Nightwraith broadened the scope of their musical exploration, making their new release “Offering” an experience that is both aggressive and textural. Pulling inspiration from a wide array of bands and genres, NightWraith has been sonically refined into something truly unique. The songwriting on "Offering" is deliberate, concise, and thoughtful, while remaining heavy enough to please the death metal audience for which it was intended. As NightWraith continues to evolve, it is clear that their ambitions are soon to pay off. "Offering" is expressive, inventive, joyful, sorrowful, and will certainly inspire its listeners.

Sanity Collapses Under Immaterial Sin…
Obscene Worship formed around the turn of the Infernal season of 2021 by Rick Blundo, Donovan Parran, and Spy Soto. Yearning to push themselves to their most depraved and visceral limits, the trio based out of Denver, Colorado crafted a sound that parallels dysfunctional savagery, maniacally weaving its way through dissonant landscapes of homicidal necessity, religious idolatry and all-consuming psychosis. As their perverse sound evolves so does the vast hatred infested within, brewing with a sense of imminent danger and paranoia long lost to the underground. Their deranged vision is currently being channeled into a full-length offering. They call upon the ill-fated listener to reflect and descend their vibrant insanity, rejoice in blasphemy, and worship the obscene.
Ob Nixilis is a 4-piece American blackened death metal band hailing from Colorado Springs, Colorado. The band formed in the bleak winter of February 2020 from a collection of seasoned musicians, some of who met through the local metal scene and others who have known each other for numerous years. The band is often inspired by bands like Dissection, Deicide, Hypocrisy and Immolation. Once the band was united, they decided to fuse their unique artistic vision to bring haunting melodies, heavy rhythms, soul crushing leads and dark ambiance that will make you want to punch your neighbor and hug your mailman! Ob Nixilis has performed numerous local shows in the Colorado area and is looking forward to playing other US regions as well as over seas!
The band released their first EP, Grimoire of the Dead, in late 2021 and are currently working on their first full length album that is set to be released via Reaping Scythe Records in late 2022.
Swelling Repulsion is an international collaboration originating in Colorado, US and Victoria, Australia. Since 2016, the band has toiled and refined their musicianship to develop what is currently their apex release. "The Severed Path" demonstrates a raw and nihilistic approach to progressive death metal. Despite their technical and melodic influences, there is an undeniable realness to their sound and message, much like our reality of suffering, suicide, and the end of the world. Though these concepts are not unique to the band, their music presents a relatable experience to the listener.
